By now Belarus experiences the biggest social unrest since 1991. It was triggered by so called “law on social parasites”. Protests, organized througs social media, passed in a bunch of small towns, where no protests ever took place before. Authority responses by arrests of journalists, opposition activists and blogers (more then 80 are detaied by now).
Anarchists are taking active participation it it. At least twice (in Minsk and Brest) they took the initialtve and drawed all attention to themselves, trying to radicalise the masses and spread their agenda. At least 5 anarchists are detaied by now.
The very original feature of this protests: common people do not let cops to detain activists and anarchist on demonstrations! They fight off and police can do nothing, so cops have to hunt activists afterwards and detain them directly at homes.
At March, 15 and March, 25 mass meetings in Minsk are planned. Anarchists are preparing. Rumors are spreading that Lukashenko prepares to impose state of emergency.
